ColorFlowTex Support
Essential answers for creating, organizing, analyzing and exporting your color cards.
Frequently asked questions.
ColorFlowTex is designed to be simple, but professional color deserves precise answers.
How do I create my first palette?
On the main screen, tap New palette, give it a name and add at least three colors. Use the color picker, enter HEX/RGB values or import a file.
Which files can I import?
You can import data from CSV and XLSX files and extract samples from images supported by iOS. The legacy XLS format is not supported; open it in Excel or Numbers and export it as XLSX or CSV.
How does Designer sorting work?
It isolates neutrals first, from white to black. It then groups chromatic families around the color wheel and sorts each family from light to dark. Bridge colors such as teal or burgundy sit between neighboring families.
Where is my data stored?
Palettes, samples and preferences remain locally on your device. ColorFlowTex requires no account and does not send your palettes to a server.
Are colors captured from a photo exact?
A photograph is affected by lighting, exposure, reflections and camera processing. For more reliable results use even light, avoid shadows and include a color reference. A professional colorimeter is still recommended for production control.
How many colors can I manage?
Each palette can contain between 3 and 500 colors. For very large collections, use filters, families and automatic sorting to navigate more quickly.
How do I export a color card?
Open the palette, tap the share button and choose PDF, image or chromatic strip. The iOS share sheet then lets you save or send the file.
How do I make a backup?
Use the export or backup feature in the app and keep the file in a safe location, such as iCloud Drive. Exported files remain at the chosen destination until you delete them.
